To throw a roller, aim low towards the ground, then pull the disc back to a sharp angle. For right-handed players, a backhand roller is pulled down and left, and a forehand roller is pulled down and right. For left-handed players, a backhand roller is pulled down and right, and a forehand roller is thrown down and left. The word "Roller" will appear during pull back to confirm proper roller angle.

You can do a larger variety of rollers depending on the release angle. Cut Rolls, Stand Up Rolls, and Turnover Rolls that follow the flight plate can all be done depending on how extreme the angle of your pull is. All discs can be thrown as a roller, but ones with a “Roll” attribute will go the furthest using this method.
